Our Story

On March 11, 1971 the Henry Curvin Recreation Center was deeded to the Trustees of Young People’s Club, an unincorporated organization of Long County, Georgia and their successors in office. The real estate was donated for the benefit of the young people in the 16th District of Long County. It is to be used as a recreational center.

The Curvin Recreation Center has hosted reunions, community events, and a number of sports activities including volleyball, baseball, and basketball. It continues to serve the community as place of laughter, unity, and memorable moments.
